Demopolis Board of Education hires new agriscience teacher

The Demopolis Board of Education held a called meeting Thursday morning to hire a new agriscience teacher at Demopolis High School.
Nick Bussey was hired by the board to fill the position that was vacated by Trent Wells on Nov. 15.
Superintendent Dr. Al Griffin said Bussey has an agriculture degree from Tennessee Tech, and has experience in welding, poultry, livestock and other agriculture areas.
The board also approved the resignation of Heidi Nettles as a sixth-grade science teacher at Demopolis Middle School. Nettles has accepted a position with the Alabama Education Association.
The board opened the DMS sixth-grade science position for seven days as well as the U.S. Jones special education aide position for seven days.
