Walter Fudge “Bud” Morgan

Walter Fudge “Bud” Morgan, 84, of Thomaston, died Saturday, Dec. 14 at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Lamison. He was a retired paper mill worker with James River Corp. and a member of Thomaston Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Rosa Lee Morgan.
He is survived by two sons, Phillip (Geneva) Morgan and Dennis Morgan, both of Thomaston; daughter, Brenda (Leon) West of Grove Hill; nine grandchildren, Al West, Shelley Harrell, Brian Morgan, Shawn Morgan, Ashley Tucker, Tracy Hollon, James Morgan and Kathleen Morgan; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mabel Duggans of Myrtlewood, Nellie Lynn of McKinley, and Mary Ruth Schroeder of Linden.
Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery on Monday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Randall Mims and Brooks Barkley officiating.
Active pallbearers were W.L. “Bo” Drake, Billy Stokes, John Dial, Robert Griffith, Raymond Alexander and Daniel Alexander.
