Alease Crain Evans, 84, of Demopolis, died Sunday, Oct. 6 at her home.

She was born April 15, 1929, in Bogalusa, La., to William Artis and Ida Seal Crain.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Artis and Ida Seal Crain; husband, Richard Evans; and brothers, Willie J. Crain, Elmo Crain and Maurice Crain.

She is survived by her sons, Arthur Dale (Kaye) Evans of Demopolis, and Jeffrey Lynn Evans of Killen; grandchildren, Scott Evans, Taylor Evans and Brenton Evans; one great-grandson; and three great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Demopolis First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Carl Williams and Brooks Barkley officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel officiating. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Evans, Taylor Evans, Brenton Evans, Bobby Jackson, Mike Crain and Justin Pruett.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Hugh Lloyd Sunday School class and Lake Lane neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Demopolis First Baptist Church.
