LIVINGSTON – After 15 long and hot days on the synthetic turf at Tiger Stadium, West Alabama head football coach Will Hall pronounced fall camp officially over following a lengthy Tuesday practice in full gear.
On Wednesday preparations for the 2013 season opener against Clark Atlanta begin. The 16th ranked Tigers are host to the Panthers Sept. 7 at Tiger Stadium. GSC-TV LIVE will televise the game and kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
“It’s been a long camp and we are ready to play somebody else,” Hall said. “We concluded fall camp today and we still have some things we need to work on to get better, but I believe we will be ready to go September 7.”
The GSC-TV LIVE broadcast of the season opener is one of four televised games for West Alabama this season. Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), Mediacom, TV-24 and ESPN 3 will show the game live. The Alabama Cable Network, Charter Channel 80, will show the game on a tape-delayed basis with the play date still to be determined.
