LIVINGSTON – Seven University of West Alabama football players have been named to the 25th Annual Division II Preseason All-America Team by the USA Football Network.

Cornerback Malcolm Butler and return specialist Malik Lofton were selected as first team preseason All-America choices. Quarterback Gary Johnston, center Skeeter Sellers, defensive tackle Willie Packer and punter Jordan Ikner were named to the second team, while offensive tackle Taylor Burnett earned a third team mention.

The defending Gulf South Conference champions report to campus August 11, with fall camp beginning the next day. UWA opens the 2013 season against Clark Atlanta on Sept. 7 at Tiger Stadium.
