The Nina and Pinta, replicas of the ships on which Christopher Columbus  sailed to the Americas , will not be able to get to Demopolis this month as they had originally planned.

The ships are in Pensacola, Fla., and are on their way to Mobile, but due to flooding and navigational hazards, they will be unable to make it to Demopolis.

They were scheduled to arrive in Demopolis on Thursday, April 25, and stay through Tuesday, April 30.

The Columbus Foundation, that built and sails the ships, said they are planning to reschedule Demopolis for November, but specific dates are unknown at this time.
