The Demopolis High School golf team duplicated last year’s record of 26-0 with wins over Fayette County High School, Leroy High School and Washington County High School at the Ravine Golf Course in Demopolis Thursday night.

All Demopolis players shot in the 30s and had a total score of 146 matching the lowest score of the season for the Tigers.

Blake Bryant shot a 35 and was low medalist for the match, followed by Braden Spiller and Jordan Williams, who each shot 36, and Payne Hasty, Sam Yeager and Chandler Steudeman, who each shot a 39. Anna Reid shot her best game of the season with a 38 playing against the boys.

Fayette County shot a 161, Washington County shot 186 and Leroy shot 190. DHS has a chance next week with two matches against Thomasville to break its own record of 26 wins and no defeats.

The next scheduled matches for Demopolis are next Monday against Thomasville in Thomasville and next Thursday against Thomasville in Demopolis.
