Demopolis baseball dominating area play

The Demopolis High School baseball team recently completed a stretch of area games against Greenville and Selma.
The Tigers traveled to Greenville for one game last week, and hosted Greenville in a double-header on Thursday, April 4. Demopolis went 3-0 against Greenville, defeating them 14-3 on the road, then 15-0 and 13-0 at home on Thursday in the rain.
On Friday, April 5, Demopolis hosted Selma and defeated them 10-1.
These were the first four area games of the season, and it puts Demopolis in good position to be area champions. They have two area games left on the road against Selma on Friday, April 12.
Demopolis went on the road to Thomasville on Tuesday afternoon and came away with a 5-3 win over the home team.
The Tigers’ next home games will be Saturday, April 13 against Cordova in a double-header beginning at noon.
Demopolis is 18-5 so far this season with six games remaining before the playoffs begin.
