The city of Linden will celebrate Easter on Saturday, March 30 during their annual Easter at the Gazebo event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Arts and crafts vendors, as well as local food vendors, will be on hand throughout the event. Vendors will be selling or handing out things such as coloring books, funnel cakes and Polish sausages. There will be train rides, face painting and more for children to enjoy throughout the morning as well.
Starting at 10 a.m., the Easter Bunny will be available for free pictures. All that is asked is that you bring your own camera.
Bruce Ward, Linden city secretary, said the day will be a fun event for children and parents.
“It’s a fun Easter event with music for the kids and plenty of things for them to do,” Ward said. “It’s just fun for the kids. It also gives the parents a chance to get out and see everybody that they might not see in their everyday lives.”
At 11 a.m., there will be an Easter egg hunt with more than 1,000 candy-filled eggs on the front lawn of Linden Elementary School, including several golden eggs with special prizes. The hunt is expected to last about 30 minutes, and live entertainment will follow.
Demopolis’ Camilla Tutt will sing during the event, and Charlie Atchison, a ventriloquist from Gallion Baptist Church, will also perform.
