Two boys, two girls and a coach from Marengo County were named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State basketball team.

Imoras Agee and Shauka Reese from Linden were both Class 1A boys second team selections, and were the only boys in the county recognized.

Tallamachiia Dumas from  Merengo High School was named to the Class 1A girls second team, and Chandler Stenz from Marengo Academy was named to the AISA girls second team.

Danny Stenz, head coach of the Marengo Academy girls team, was named the AISA girls Coach of the Year. The Lady Longhorns finished the season with a 25-3 record and were runners-up, losing to Lakeside in the state championship game.
