Hospital prepares for busy month

It’s a busy month over at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital with plenty of upcoming events, all while Scale Back Alabama is in full swing.
The hospital will kick off the Britches and Bows children’s clothing and accessories sale Thursday, Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 15 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will take place in the hospital classroom. Proceeds will benefit the projects and services of BWWMH volunteer auxiliary.
Clothes available will be girl’s size infant to 14 and boy’s size infant to 7.
The next opportunity available at the hospital is one that is no stranger to the residents of Demopolis. Yoga will return again offered at the Wellness Center beginning Feb. 19.
Those interested have the option to pay for the entire 10-week series at registration and save $10 on the total cost of the classes or pay $5 per session.
For Tombigee Healthcare Authority employees and wellness center members the classes are $3 per session.
The schedule of classes offered are as follows: beginning evening classes will be held Mondays at 5:30 p.m., beginning morning classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. and intermediate evening classes will be held Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

Another event at the hospital will feature an Italian meal makeover cooking demonstration. The demonstration will take place Monday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. in the BWWMH classroom and will include a demonstration, samples, recipe cards and nutrition and weight management tips.

Tickets are $5 each for the first 15 registrants. Space is limited so those interested are encouraged to register early.
