Citizen’s Police Academy alumni donate to DPD

The Demopolis Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association presented a check for $1,000 to the Demopolis Police Department at the department’s Christmas party.
The monies were raised throughout the year in efforts to support the police department.
The association, made up of graduates from the Citizen’s Police Academy, held different fundraisers this year including a COTR raffle.

Last year, the department purchased a projector screen for the DPD training room to be used for different purposes throughout the year.
Melanie Soronen is the current president of the alumni association.
