Have a person on your Christmas list that is hard to shop for?

The Demopolis City Schools Foundation may have a perfect solution.

Make a donation to the foundation this month in honor of a friend or loved one and that person will get a special Christmas card designed by Demopolis Middle School students letting them know about the gift.

Amanda Barnes, executive director of the foundation, said $1,200 has already been raised since Thanksgiving.

“We will be doing the Christmas cards up until the Dec. 21,” Barnes said.

Even after Christmas, the foundation will continue to offer cards for other special occasions like birthdays. Appropriate donations are $15 or more.

Donors are able to pick what kind of card they want to send. Designs range from Christmas trees to Santa and more.
