The Marengo County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) is showcasing local business, industry, organizations and municipalities on its Christmas tree this year.

Each entity is requested to donate an ornament with the name and/or logo on it.

“We want to have ornaments representing all entities in Marengo County, from within every city and town, to serve as a holiday centerpiece to the unity and spirit of cooperation that we enjoy here all year long,” Brenda Tuck, executive director of MCEDA said.

There are already a few company specific ornaments on the tree, but the goal is to fill up the tree with all Marengo County ornaments. To donate an ornament, drop it by the MCEDA Office at 507 N Main Street in Linden.

“We hope it will also serve to encourage community involvement and interest in economic development as we celebrate the season together,” she said.
