DECA club to hold fund-raiser

Demopolis High School’s DECA club will host “DECA Dayze” later this month to raise money for a trip to the DECA International Competition in California. The three-day event will be Friday, Dec. 14- Sunday, Dec. 16.
Connie Davis is advisor for the DHS club and said the fundraiser will help send 25 students to the competition in Anaheim, Calif.
“All the money that we raise will help pay for the student’s trip,” Davis said.
A chili sale will kick off the fundraiser on Friday, Dec. 14. Chili will be sold in the DHS Food Lab from 4-6 p.m. Enter through the back door. A small sized chili (16 ounces) is $4.50 and a large sized (32 ounces) is $9. Chili is prepared by Andi Tuberville and the FCCLA.
A garage sale/flea market will be set up in the First Baptist Church gymnasium from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday, Dec. 15. Local artist and vendors will have booths set up.
A tour of homes will be Sunday, Dec. 16 including the following tours: Betty Johnson’s home located at 1001 Cypress Point, Webb and Jill Tutt located at 1307 Maria Ave., Wayne and Heather Stokes located at 1502 Chappy Circle and J.R. Rivas located at 5469 County Road 19 in Linden. Tickets for this event is $15.
