5K raises money for muscular dystrophy

The Demopolis High School DECA Club’s 5K made its monetary goal Saturday, which means at least one young person with muscular dystrophy will be able to attend summer camp next June.
Proceeds from the race went to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Demopolis High School junior Tyler Oates won the race with a time of 21:30.
The other top male finishers were Adam Brooker and Adam Sellers. The top female finishers were Tara Sealy, Cynthia Phillips and Monica Cox.
The winners in the Masters category (above 40) were Randy Fowler and Cary Dauphin. The winners in the Grandmasters category (above 50) were Billy Symon and Elaine Carr.

Female winners by age group were: Gracie Boykin, 10-14; Kendall Principe, 15-19; Kathleen Randall, 20-24; Courtney Taylor, 25-29; Niki Bailey, 30-34; Allene Jones, 35-39; Traci Hurst, 40-44; and Elaine Carr, 60-64.
Male winners by age group: Zack Murphy, 10-14; Christian Corbitt, 15-19; Trey Oates, 20-24; Justin Averette, 25-29; Adam Sealy, 30-34; Russ Gaddy, 45-49; and Billy Symon, 60-64.
