Demopolis Public Library will compile statistics, customer comments, photographs and other data chronicling a typical library day as a part of the statewide “Snapshot Day: One Day in the Life of Alabama Public Libraries” on Thursday, Sept. 27.
The results at Demopolis Public Library will be added to those of public libraries across Alabama to show how libraries provide invaluable services to Alabama citizens.
“Along with compiling statistics on Thursday, we will host the Chamber of Commerce After Hours on Thursday from 5:30-7:00 p.m.”, said library director Morgan Grimes. “We also plan to have pictures from the Summer Reading Program and other library events on display on the first floor.”
“Snapshot Day: One Day in the Life of Alabama Public Libraries” is a project of the Alabama Public Library Service.
“We want to public to stop by on Thursday and see that we are more than just books. Even if you are a regular library user or haven’t visited the library in years, we have something to offer you,” Grimes said.
