Murder charged filed in Dixon Mills shooting

A 19-year-old man was charged Friday in connection with a fatal Labor Day shooting in Dixon Mills.
Frencheise Nickerson faces murder charges stemming from the shooting of 28-year-old Kalion Gladney.
According to authorities, Gladney, 28, of the Yellow Bluff community, was shot three times while sitting alone in his car in the parking lot of 4 Way Stop. The convenience store is near the intersection of U.S. 43 and Alabama 10.
The shooting happened about 1 a.m. on Sept. 3. Someone who came across the scene called 911.
Marengo County Sheriff Ben Bates said investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting and if other arrests will be made.
