Madelyn Ward Jones, 83, a homemaker of Sweet Water died Monday, may 28 at her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1929 in Half Acre. She was a member of Half Acre Community Church and attended Myrtlewood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Mike (Traci) DeLoach, of Half Acre, Paul (Faye) DeLoach, of York and Daryl (Rhonda) Jones, of Linden; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Half Acre Cemetery May 30, 2012 with Rev. Steve Walley officiating.

Active Pallbearers were Terry Barr, John Payne Thomas, Charles Tucker, J.B. White, Ray Vick and Gary Tucker.

Honorary Pallbearers were friends and neighbors of the Myrtlewood and Half Acre communities.
