William Randle “Billy” Cox , 69, of Highland Lake, formerly of Marion, died May 8. Born Aug. 1, 1942 in Mississippi to Frances Cox and the late Arvid Cox, he was preceded in death by his father, Arvid Cox and his brother, Eddie Cox.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Cox, his mother, Frances Cox, daugther Lana Cox (Layne) Rinehart and their children Madison, McKenzie and Brendon, sons Layne Cox and his dog, Frannie Lou, Ladd (Mandy) Cox and their children Collin, Cameron and Morgen, sister, Angelyn (Charles) Collums and their family and his brother, Danny (Nan) Cox and their family as well as six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at Siloam Baptist Church in Marion with the Reverends Leland Davis, Bill Barnette and Dr. Paul Reitzer officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. The burial followed at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers included Jeremy Cox, Danny Davis, Chuck Collums, Randy Collums, Layne Rinehart and Brian Hood.
