Anne Grant Vickers, 87, of Demopolis, died Tuesday morning, May 1, 2012 at her home in Pinhook. Funeral services will be Graveside at Jefferson Cemetery Saturday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. No visitation with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John E. Vickers Sr.; parents, Charles Brasfield Grant, Sr. and Emma Gholson Grant; sister, Jean Gardner and brother, Charles B.Grant, Jr.
She is survived by her children John E. Vickers, Jr., Patricia V. Grindle (John) and Grant C.Vickers, Sr., all of Pinhook; grandchildren, John E.”Tripp”Vickers,III(Marla), of Montgomery; Whitney V.Dyer (Jon), of Montgomery; John D. Grindle, Jr. (Linsey), of Alexandria,Va.; Garrett E. Grindle, of Palm Bay, Fla.; Ruthanne Charlie Vickers, of Linden and Grant C.”Clint” Vickers, Jr., of Linden; great-grandchildren, Jon Lawrence Dyer (Whitney&Jon) and Alice Adeline “Addie” Vickers (Tripp&Marla).
She graduated from Auburn University and was a member of the Linden and Jefferson United Methodist Churches.
She was an active member of the United Methodist Women for over 60 years.
