The Women in Ministry program will take place Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hope Hill District with Joseph C. Harper of Linden’s Hopewell Baptist Church serving as guest speaker.

The program, which will be held at 901 E. Pettus Street in Demopolis, will also help raise funds for A Time to Share Ministries annual July Day of Sharing, which is scheduled for July 7 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gaineswood tennis court.

“This event is sponsored through the donations of the city of Demopolis churches and individuals,” Grace Clayton Motley of A Time to Share said of the event, which will includes food, games, activities for children, a talent show, a rap contest and a car show. “We’re hoping to have another successful year. We would like to thank everyone who has helped us over the last five years to make this a success. Truly we know Demopolis is a city of the people because everyone is helped by everyone.”

The Women in Ministry program and the July Day of Sharing are both open for public attendance.

“This Saturday, the 10th, we will be having a barbecue at the Hope Hill district. All candidates in the March 13 elections are invited,” Motley said.
