The 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force arrested Antonio Deshawn Gandy Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
The task force worked in conjunction with the ABC Board Narcotics Division, the Fourth Circuit Drug Task Force, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the Eutaw Police Department and the Alabama Department of Corrections K-9 unit to execute the warrant at 1484 County Road 133 in Boligee that led to the arrest of Gandy, 38.
The task force seized cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and a large amount of cash from the property.
“With us being in such a rural area, we depend on other local agencies and state agencies as well,” 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Commander Clint Sumlin said of the cooperation between law enforcement agencies on this and similar cases.
Gandy’s arrest came as part of an ongoing investigation.
