William James Dutton

William James Dutton, 80, of Demopolis died Jan. 16 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1931 in Demopolis to the late John Daniel and Josephine Dutton, he is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ethel Douglas.

He is survived by his wife, Eva C. Dutton, daughters Deborah J. Dutton of Demopolis, Lucy D. Dutton of Houston, Texas, son William James Dutton Jr. of Jasper and sisters Josephine D. Arant of Stuart, Fla. and Johnnie M. Pilch of Cleveland, Ohio as well as grandchildren John M. Dutton, Jamie L. Dutton, Jessica A. (Caleb) Madison and four great grandchildren, Brennan Griffin, Kaitlyn Dutton, Heath Dutton and Lilly Ann Madison.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Demopolis with Dr. Art Luckie officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial followed in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers were William Allen, Scott Coley, Jimmy Dunn, Bert Jones, Andy Eddins and Cam Cameron. Honorary Pallbearers were The Methodist Men Coffee Class, Joel Coley, Joesy Coley, Dan Campbell, Burt Fuller, Larry Phillips, Jim Parr and Joe Parr.
