Corey Patrick Murphy, 26, of Demopolis died Dec. 17. Born April 14, 1985 in Jacksonville, Fla. to Brian Patrick Murphy and Melanie Kay Turner York, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Benny Turner, Lillian Lee Turner, Leola Lee and Mr. and Mrs. James Howard Turner and his paternal grandparents Larry Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Pence.

He is survived by his father and his mother and her husband Bill York, his daughter Lyndsey Grace Murphy of Demopolis, paternal grandparents Carl and Nancy Hathaway of Franklin, Ohio and his fiancee Michelle Pearson LaLone of Demopolis and her two children, Danielle and J.J.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Carr officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:45 before the service. The pallbearers will be members of the Demopolis Masonic Lodge No. 49.
