Kenneth O’Neal Freeman

Kenneth O’Neal Freeman, age 83, of Demopolis, died Sept. 23 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. Services were 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis with the Reverends Brooks Barkley and Carl Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Freeman was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Fayette County to the late James Delbert and Earlene Trimm Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Nell Collins.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Marie Lindsey Freeman; his sons, Ronald (Diane) Freeman of Demopolis and Kenneth (Teressa) Freeman of Demopolis; his grandchildren, Kelly (Trey) Gandy, Ron Freeman of Auburn, Jake Freeman of Demopolis, Will Freeman of Demopolis and Jennifer (Alan) Lloyd of Chattanooga, Tenn. and his great-grandchild, Wade Gandy, of Demopolis.
Pallbearers were Creagh Webb, Randy Howell, Mark Baker, Bobby Franks, Larry Barnes and Bo McAlpine.
Honorary pallbearers are Harold Johnson, Gordon Moore, Bill Harris, Joe Stokes, Drs. Ketchum and Dismukes and their staffs and the Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class.
