Norman Lucius Davenport III

Norman Lucius Davenport III, of Eutaw passed away July 4 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mesopotamia Cemetery with Rev. Randy Fuller, Rev. John Warren and Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
He was born March 24, 1957 in Tuscaloosa to Myrtice Durrett Davenport and the late Norman Lucius Davenport, Jr.
Norman was preceded in death by his father, Norman Lucius Davenport Jr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lucius Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Durrett.
Survivors include his mother, Myrtice Durrett Davenport of Eutaw and sister, Ann (Pearson) Matthews, of Birmingham.
Norman graduated from Lyman Ward Military Academy and from the University of West Alabama with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. He was the former owner of the Eutaw Bait and Gun Shop. He was presently employed by Butler Land Company.
Pallbearers will be B.L. Abrams III, James O. Banks Jr., Gary Butler Thomas Cobb, Jesse Ellis, Richard Odom Jr., Andrew Outlaw and Dennis Stripling.
