Mrs. Roxanne Mitchell Roberson entered into eternal rest recently at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 am at the New Morning Star Bapt. Church Demopolis. Rev. C. L. Franklin, Pastor Rev. Sid Rowser officiated. Interment followed in the Jerusalem Church Cemetary, Gallion, Al. with Larkin and Scott entrusted with all arrangements. Roxanne leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Joseph Robertson; one son Joseph Anthony; one daughter Nautica Dajay; mother Janie and step-father, Rufus SmithDemopolis,Al; father, Roosevelt Smith, Chicago IL; father and mother –in law, Joe (Johnnie Mae) Dorsey; grandfather, Tommie (Heide) Collins of Greenville, MS; two brothers, Dozie (Keisha)Cox and Ronald Smith, Demopolis, AL; one sister, Tiffany Smith Demopolis, Al; four step-brothers, Rufus smith Jr., Selma, Al Bernard Smith, Kevin Smith and Samuel Smith, all of Chicago IL; six step-sisters, Stephanie(Casimuir) Mills, Jonesboro, GA, Tausha Smith, Sharon Veazly, Michelle Smith, Valery Smith and Tracy Smith, all of Chicago, IL; seven uncles, Richard (Gloria) Smith of New Orleans,LA; Elijah (Rochelle) Thomas, Benjamin (Louise) Pickett ,Tommie (Shirley) Collins, Joseph Pickett, Otis (Patricia) Collins, Ozzie Pickett, all of Chicago, IL; nine aunts, Delia Campbell, Demopolis, AL,Caiserene (Willie) Sanders, Ella(Thomas) Bates, Sandra Pickett, Joann Pickett, Annie Collins, Mildred Thompson, all of Chicago IL; Serentha (Kelvin) Hewitt, Cottondale, AL and Jewel (Leonard) Essex, Demopolis, AL; two great aunts, Josephine Frye, Chicago, IL and Doris Pickett, Lexington, MS, a host of nieces, nephews , cousins, other relatives and friends.
