The Demopolis Police Department is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a local man wanted on rape charges.
Curt Ladean Anderson, 48, is currently wanted by the DPD on charges of Rape First and Assault Second.
According to the victim, a 35 year old female, the incident occurred at 604 E. Pettus Street Dec. 16.
Demopolis Chief of Police Tommie Reese said Anderson has no known address but is a familiar face in the area.
“He’s actually been charged with rape in Demopolis before,” he said.
Reese added that while Anderson has no known permanent address, it was possible Anderson was in the Eutaw or Tuscaloosa area, or may still be in the Demopolis area.
Anderson is a black male, weighing 175 pounds and is listed as 6 feet, one inch tall.
Those with information are asked to call the DPD at 289-3073.
Reese said the department has been following leads since last week and are hopeful the reward will lead to additional information.
