Florence Massey

Florence Massey, age 65, passed away on April 25, 2010, in Wetumpka.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1945, in Morvin, Ala., to the late Gatson P. and Annie Laura Davis Etheridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert “Lewis” Massey.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Boone of Terre Haute, Ind., and Teresa (Ray) Dillon of Vermillion, Ohio; three sons, Tracy (Cindi) Chapman of Gulf Shores, DeWayne (Dawn) Chapman of Wetumpka and Billy Chapman of Demopolis; two sisters, Ruby (James) Watson of Frisco City and Jane Etheridge of Thomasville; four brothers, Uless (Beatrice) Etheridge of Wilmer, Watson (Hazel) Etheridge of Linden, Paul (Lois) Etheridge of Thomasville and Terry (Irene) Etheridge of El Dorado, Ark.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, at 2 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Mike Ingram officiating. The family received friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel is directing the services.
Active pallbearers will be Derrick Dillon, Lane Aydelott, Wayne Lewis, Billy Chapman, Jamce Johnson and Jesse Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Uless Etheridge and Chris Etheridge.
