Julia Killings-Coats

Funeral services for Julia Lee Killings-Coats of Smiths, formerly of Coatopa, were held on Saturday, April 10, at 1 p.m. at Bethel-Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa. Pastor F.O. Bell and Min. Wesley Winston officiated; Janie Bell served as mistress of order. Interment with full military honors followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Coatopa. Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Glen Coats Sr.; two children, Charity and Glen Coats Jr.; her father, Hammer Killings Sr.; four brothers, Frank (Mattie) Killings, Italy (Towanda) Killings, Roy (Gwin) Brown and Wade (Caroline) Killings; two sisters, Gloria (Joe) Brown and Lucille (Daryl) Brown Sr.; a sister-in-law, Josie Killings; a mother-in-law, Alberta Green; a father-in-law, Aaron Rice; four uncles, Israel Killings, Andrew Hutchins, Dock Brown and David Dykes; three aunts, Lucy Killings, Illene (Benny) Hampton and Hybernia Brown; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Isaac) Ward and Lora Ann Coats; one brother-in-law, Ronnie (Ray) Rice; four godchildren; special friends, Harold and Benita Harrison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
