Post office provides deadlines for packages, cards

The Christmas season is the busiest time of the year for the U.S. Postal Service. Millions of packages, parcels and cards will be sent across the country and around the world during the holiday season.
The earliest deadline is for parcel posts, which need to be put in the mail today (Wednesday) to ensure arrival by Christmas.
To help mailers get their items to their destinations by Christmas Day, the Demopolis Post Office has issued the following deadline dates for domestic mail.
Parcel post: Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Domestic first-class mail: Monday, Dec. 21.
Priority mail: Monday, Dec. 21.
Express mail: Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Military mail also has its share of deadlines, specific to ZIP Code:
APO and FPO ZIP Codes 090-092, Express Mail: Friday, Dec. 18.
APO and FPO ZIP Codes 093: not applicable.
APO and FPO ZIP Codes 094-098: Friday, Dec. 18.
APO, FPO and AA ZIP Code 340: Friday, Dec. 18.
APO, FPO and AP ZIP Codes 962-966: Friday, Dec. 18.
