Funeral services for Richard Larkin, age 54, were held on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Church of God Pentecostal with Bishop-elect Sherwood Bradford officiating. Interment followed in the St. John CME Cemetery in Mount Sterling.
He was born on April 7, 1955, to the late Lee Davis Larkin and Mattie Larkin. He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Lee Doris and Elnora Larkin
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Larkin Scott of Mount Sterling; one brother, James Davis Larkin of Mount Sterling; one niece, Stacey Larkin of Mount Sterling; one nephew, Dominique Larkin, of Mount Sterling; five aunts, Charlie Mae Tyson, Pinkie Lee Kennedy, Emma Jean Jackson, Mary Belle Jackson and Marilyn Jackson, all of Mount Sterling; three uncles, Zollie (Merle) Jackson of Luverne, Johnny Jackson of Butler and James Earl Jackson of Mount Sterling; one sister-in-law, Maria Larkin of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a host of cousins and friends. Weatherly-Studdard Memorial Chapel directed the services.
Brothers and friends of the Church of God Pentecostal served as pallbearers.
