William Ellis

Funeral services for Mr. William Ellis of Demopolis were held on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at noon at Bethel-Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa.  
Pastor F.O. Bell officiated. Interment followed in the Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Coatopa with full military honors.  Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the services.
Survivors include one daughter, Cecile Brown Ellis of Demopolis; her mother, Pascale Petty of Alexandria, La.; two stepdaughters, Shentaka (David) Valenzuela of Alexandria, La., and Brandy (Ashton) Campbell of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Eddie (Vizminda) Ellis of Salinas, Calif., and Markquitta (Edna) Ellis of Demopolis; three sisters, Gwendolyn (Mike) Brown of Demopolis, Betty (Jerry) Campbell Sr. of Forkland and Laquitta (Jonnie) Aldridge of Clarksville, Tenn.; one adopted sister, Adrian (Jessie) Shepard of Demopolis; one aunt, Annie Bell Mitchell of Mobile; two cousins, Kathleen Rembert and Arrie May Johnson, both of Demopolis; four step-grandchildren; seven nieces, Elisha Lockett, Jennie and Jazmin Campbell, Marqueashsa and Tamara Ellis and Hannah and Sarah Aldridge; seven nephews, Terventius Gibbs, Antoneo Ellis, Jerman and Jermaine Brown, Jerry Campbell Jr., Christopher Ellis and Jeremiah Aldridge; devoted friends, Linda Lewis, Alfonso Johnson, Dewayne Phillips, John Wilson and Lisa Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
