Eric Thornton Heinz, age 40, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at his home.
He was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a resident of Gallion. He was a retired boiler technician and served with the U.S. Navy.
No local services are planned. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Faye Heinz of Gallion; a daughter, Skylar Faye Heinz of Gallion; two stepsons, Ronald J. Bigg of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Richard Wayne Weekley Jr. of Norfolk, Va.; his mother, Sandra Kennedy Heinz of Antioch, Calif.; his father, Henry John Heinz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Kristen A. Heinz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, Jonathan Knowles of Alabama and Lee Jackson of Mississippi; his stepmother, Barb Heinz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; an uncle, Donald (Linda) Heinz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; an aunt, Susan Kennedy of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two grandmothers, Regina Kennedy and Ellbernia Heinz, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
