For the next nine months, students at Demopolis High School will walk the halls from class to class. It’s only fair their parent’s get a small taste of it too, right?
Monday night, beginning at 6:30, the high school will host an open house designed as a meet and greet for teachers and parents.
“We’ll ring a bell and parents will go to their children’s first period class,” Principal Dr. Isaac Espy said. “Then we’ll ring another bell and they’ll go to the second period class and so on.”
In each session parents will be presented with their student’s syllabus and have an opportunity to hear the teacher’s goals and expectations for the semester.
“It exposes the parents to the rigors of the school day,” Espy said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Parents will have five minutes in each class with a few minutes between bells to navigate the hallways.
