Two arrests made for narcotics

A trio of search warrants served Friday evening netted two arrests for narcotics and the recovery of stolen property, interim Demopolis Police Chief Tim Williams said.
Officers converged on East Pettus around 6:45 p.m., and then served the warrants.
“We were able to make two narcotics arrests and recover a large amount of stolen property,” Williams said.
Officials did not release the names of those arrested Friday night, instead opting to release that information Monday.
Officers from the Marengo and Greene County sheriff’s departments assisted in the operation.
“We brought in other agencies to help,” Williams said. “We served the warrants, made the arrests and the important thing is we’re all going home tonight.”
