DEMOPOLIS &8212; Following its victory in last week&8217;s District 10 tournament, the 10U all-star team spent the week preparing for the challenges it will face in the state tournament.
According to Sellers, the coaches have also spent a great deal of time focusing on the pitching philosophy it believes will best suit its team against the stellar competition it will see this weekend.
Sellers also expressed his confidence in the experience of the team&8217;s three primary pitchers, Luke Yelverton, Mark Joseph Johnson and Adam Sellers.
While the coaches have been tweaking the team&8217;s pitching staff and approach, the majority of their work has reportedly gone into developing the squad&8217;s offensive prowess.
Much like last year, the Demopolis team is scheduled to compete in what appears to be a tough pool. The team will play Lineville at 10 a.m. Saturday before challenging Semmes at 2 p.m. The team will then face a reputable Madison squad Sunday before wrapping up pool play with Tillman&8217;s Corner Monday.
