James Scott Renner

LINDEN &8212; James Scott Renner, 54, of Linden, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope. Funeral services were held at O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, with Rev. Johnnie Gillis officiated. Burial was held at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Melvin. O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden directed the services.
Renner was a painter and he attended Calvary Baptist Church in Linden.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Dikes Renner; mother, Kathleen Renner; and sister, Kathy Renner Thurman.
Renner is survived by his wife, Donna Juanita Renner, of Linden; father, Robert Harold Renner, of Spanish Fort; two sons, Jason Scott Renner, and wife, Felicia, Andrew Brian Renner, of Auburn; step-daughter, Jasmine Donita Powell, of Linden; step-son, Donnie Rayford Powell, of Thomasville; two sisters, Karen R. Hamilton, and husband, Lee, of Spanish Fort, and Tammy R. Moorer, and husband, Mike, of Chatom; two brothers, Robert H. Renner Jr. and wife, Tammy, of Daphne and Andrew C. Renner and wife, Elizabeth, of Demopolis, and five grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Robert Ashley Hamilton, Christopher Lee Hamilton, Matthew Moorer, Wade Moorer, Joseph Crawford and Billy Pritchett.
