Our Opinion: Times Big Event promotion fills pockets

The Times published a promotional section, The Big Event, last month. The section was filled with hidden logos throughout business advertisements. The objective of the promotion was for readers to look through the section, count the number of logos and enter a contest to win $250.
The Big Event not only benefited the winner Donna Barham of Demopolis with cash in her pocket, but also assisted advertisers by getting readers to view their ads and discount advertisement pricing.
We congratulate Barham on entering the winning entry and commend the Big Event advertisers for participating in a great promotion.
