DEMOPOLIS &8212; DHS senior standout Brandi McGee inked a softball scholarship offer Tuesday from the University of West Alabama, dotting the &8220;I&8221; on the realization of a long-time dream.

The Tigers&8217; star third baseman anticipates serving as a utility player at UWA, spending time at an array of positions.

The decision to sign with UWA will also reunite McGee with her older sister, Brittany, who will be a senior for the Tigers next season.

However, while the sisters are excited for the opportunity to once again shine on the same diamond, both emphasized the individuality of Brandi&8217;s decision to attend UWA.

Her sentiments were reiterated by Brittany, who reported abstaining from her sibling&8217;s recruiting process.

Now that Brandi has determined where she will continue her career, she approaches the obstacles which accompany transitioning from high school to college.

While Brandi may be abandoning familiarity to a certain degree, she will have her sister in the dugout just in case she ever needs a little encouragement.
