BIRMINGHAM &8212; William Caldwell Allen Jr., 68, of Birmingham, died May 1, 2008, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson with the Rev. Gerald Stephens officiating and O&8217;Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden in charge of the services.

Allen, a native of Demopolis, was a resident of Birmingham. He was a member of Bold Springs Presbyterian Church.

His father, William Caldwell Allen, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Cowling Allen, of Birmingham, two children, Tracy Plummer and husband, Floyd, of Marion Junction, and William Caldwell Allen III and wife, Leigh, of Northport, four grandchildren, his mother, Roxie Reynolds, of Linden, sister, Anne Faulkner, of Montgomery and four brothers, Gray Allen, and wife, Betty, of Demopolis, Jim Allen and wife, Diane, of Jefferson; Warren Allen and wife, Jodi, of Demopolis, and Weldon Allen, of Birmingham.
