LINDEN &8212; Funeral services for Ada Burrell, 53, of Linden were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Christian Chapel Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Fred Moore is the pastor. The Rev. Alfred Hudson officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Feb. 24, 1955, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Katie Anderson. She died on March 25, 2008, at her residence in Linden. She was married to Clarence Burrell on Nov. 7, 1977, and to this union three children were born.
Survivors include a husband, Deacon Clarence Burrell of Linden; three children, Stephanie M. Burrell of Huntsville, Christopher Burrell and Tiffany Burrell of Linden; three grandchildren; two siblings, Betty Salter and John Adams and wife, Dorothy, both of Lansing, Mich.; 13 brothers and sisters-in-law, Beatrice Grace and Frank Burrell Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, Ephraim Burrell, Bessie Jennings, Sarah Jeter and Eunice Watson and husband, Land, all of Decatur, Ga.; Dorothy Marbury of Saugus, Calif., Margaret Smith of Marietta, Calif., James Burrell and wife, Geraldine, of Ft. Washington, Md., Gloria Burrell of LaPlata, Md., the Rev. Ulysses Burrell and wife, Brenda, of Joelton, Tenn., the Rev. Gerome Burrell and wife, Audrey, of Linden and Ethel Burrell of Montgomery; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
