Player of the Week: Demopolis High School Softball Team

It takes a head-turning performance to earn Player of the Week honors and this week&8217;s POTW certainly achieved that task. The only difference is that you won&8217;t see this performance show up in any stat books or box scores.
The Demopolis High School softball team will play Wednesday&8217;s game against American Christian Academy tot raise funds for Relay for Life.
While their pre-game efforts have lead to proceeds going to Relay for Life, their on-field efforts will be in memory of Haley Dotson.
In accordance with the game&8217;s dedication, the girls will all sport purple ribbons to honor Haley Dotson. Additionally, the Tigers have invited Dotson&8217;s sister, Katelyn, to throw out the game&8217;s first pitch.
So while the girls will have plenty of opportunities to vie for POTW nods on the field, it is their off-the-field work that has garnered them the acknowledgement this time around.
