TUSCALOOSA &045; Jeremy Palmer, 31, of Tuscaloosa, died Feb. 4, 2008, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. on
Thursday at Magnolia Chapel South with the Revs. Bill Heinz, Allen Atkins and Wayne Styres will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is directing.
Palmer was a boy who grew into a man with a passion for life and a love of the outdoors, especially the time he spent hunting with his nephew, Chase and his devoted lab, Hershey.
His grandparents, Ervin Clyde Smelley of Northport, Jewel S. Logan of Northport and Mr. and Mrs. William Neil Palmer of Northport, preceded him in death.
He is survived by hisparents, Mr. and Mrs. William V. Barkley Jr., of Gallion and Mr. Robert L. Palmer of Northport; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William V. Barkley Sr. of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Cortney Palmer Patton and husband, Drew, of Tuscaloosa; two step-sisters, Brenna Kay Barkley of Tuscaloosa and Rebecca Barkley Purdy of Tuscaloosa; one nephew, Chase Purdy of Meridian, Miss. and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends
Pallbearers are Colby Hannah, Jeff Elmore, Barry Buckner, Kinley Buckner, Daniel Boyd, Jeff Cabiness, Rodney Cabiness and William Neil Palmer Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Drew Patton, Chase Purdy, Paul Hardin, Josh Dunnam, Brad Sutton, Chris Sutton, Bryant Palmer, Herman Boyd, Oliver Sutton, Clint Spivey, Tim Crawford, Steve Crawford, employees of Tuscaloosa Hyundai, employees of Tuscaloosa Toyota, employees of Studio C, employees of the Division of Financial Affairs and the employees of The University Supply Store.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Juvenile Diabetes Association.
