EUTAW &8212; Monday night the R.C. Hatch Bobcats continue to do what they have done all season, win.
They did so in hostile territory &8212; on the road at Greene County High School &8212; and against a bigger 5A school, winning out 61-53. They also did so against adversity.
A help or harm depending on how you look at it, the Bobcats also were transitioning back into their rotation Brandon Battle. Battle, the only sophomore on a senior-filled starting lineup, had missed the team&8217;s six previous games.
Against Greene County, Davis said the group had problems controlling the final period of play, something he said the team will work on this week with the three days they have until facing an area opponent at home Friday.
Frankie Sullivan Jr. leading the scoring for the Bobcats in their win by posting 29 points in the game, while grabbing nine rebounds and three steals. Rodney Scott also was a high point contributor for the group with 10.
The win moves the group to 16-1 on the season, and they sit at 3-0 in their area. The only loss the team has received this year came on the road against Wilcox Central, the group is looking to sweep their area with a win over Southern Choctaw on Friday night.
