Rose Janes Goulette

DEMOPOLIS &8212; Rose Janes Goulette, 71, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Riley Regional Hospital in Meridian, Miss. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at St. Leo&8217;s Catholic Church in Demopolis with the Rev. Larry Shinnick officiating with interment following at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors of Demopolis are in charge of arrangements. The family will received friends from 6 until 7 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with the rosary at 7 p.m.
Goulette was preceded in death by her parents, Tony Janes and Johana Kalcic Janes; her husband, Charles H. Goulette; two sisters, Frances J. Lee, and Julia Janes; three brothers, Frank Janes, John Janes and Joseph Janes.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Goulette Ugas, and her husband, Rickey, of Houma, La.; one sister, Mary Janes, and her husband, Robert King, of Priceville; two brothers, Tony L. Janes, of Livingston and Florian Janes, of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four nephews and four nieces.
Goulette was a native and lifelong resident of Demopolis, a retired LPN nurse with over 40 years of service at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong member of St. Leo&8217;s The Great Catholic Church in Demopolis.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee, Steve Davis, Rickey Ugas, Jon King, Tony Roberson, Steve Simpson and Louis Janes.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Goulette request that donations be made to the St. Leo&8217;s Building Fund, 304 South Walnut Ave., Demopolis, AL, 36732.
