BELLAMY &8212; Pervy Lee Chambless, 53, of Bellamy, died Jan. 7, 2008 at D.C.H. Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Siloam Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Brad Campbell will be officiating. A private burial for family only will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Lee was born in Lauderdale, Miss. and reared in Sumter County. He was the father of two daughters.
He is survived by his mother, Winnie B. Chambless; two daughters, Stacey C. Ashe and husband, Michael, Brandy C. Maxwell and husband, Jeff; one brother, Eddie Chambless, one sister, Elizabeth Thomason and husband, Tee, and one nephew, Michael E. Averett.
The pallbearers will be Ronnie Harwell, Carl Suddath, Charlie Jones, Gary Busby, Jim Emory, Thomas Taylor, Albert Carter and Jamie Ashe.
The honorary pallbearers are Dr. David L. Hinton and employees of the Cancer Care Center of DCH Tuscaloosa, the nurses of the second floor Oncology Unit of DCH Hospital Hattie Jones of Prystup Packaging.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the cancer treatment center of Tuscaloosa or the local Humane Society for Animals.
