Patriots dominate Isabella High School in 65-37 road victory
Linden came out of the gate hot in their home game against visiting Isabella High School and effectively tamed the Mustangs before they could get running.
In the first quarter, the Patriots put up a comfortable cushion, outscoring their guests 20-8. The lead was furthered with a second 20-plus point quarter by the Patriots, who headed into the half leading 41-18.
In the second half, Linden High School slowed its pace, but the group still added 16 to make it 57-23 as the two groups entered the final period. The 34-point lead was diminished by the Mustangs in the final period of play, by that was largely due to the Linden bench getting floor time as the team cruised to a 65-37 victory.
Leading scorer for the Mustangs from Isabella was Brandon Veazey with 11.
Linden&8217;s group posted three players recording 10 points: Kendarius Goodwill, Joe Johnson and Sean Richardson.

Lady Panthers return to road play with 52-28 win over J.U. Blacksher
The Lady Panthers of Marengo High School went back on the road for the first time since returning from the break to face the Lady Bulldogs of J.U. Blacksher.
Maybe it was the transition back from the break or the Saturday game before school starts back, but the Panthers found their opponents wanting as they rolled over the Lady Dogs to a 52-28 victory. The Panthers beat up on their opponent on offense, and they controlled the Dogs on defense as they added another &8220;W&8221; to their regular season resume.
Kassandra Thomas led the offense for Marengo High School, posting 19 points in the game. Kindra Lanier was the second leading scorer for the group, posting 10 points, and made it a double-double by adding a team-high 10 rebounds to her totals. Talmesha Dumas made it a trio-contribution affair by adding eight points and five blocks to the team&8217;s statistics on the night.
