DEMOPOLIS &045; William Henry Inge Sr., 76, of Demopolis, died Dec. 3, 2007, at U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at the Moscow Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Timothy Page is the pastor. The Rev. Mitchell Congress officiated. Jessie Wheeler was the master of order. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery with military honors. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.
He served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Inge, of Demopolis; seven children, Patricia Inge of Detroit, Georgia Inge of Portland, Ore., Peggy Inge and Gwendolyn Inge, both of Demopolis, Richard Vaughn and wife, Annie, of Demopolis, Edward and Arthur Mauldin of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Samuel Inge and wife, Barbara, of Augusta, Ga., Jessie Inge of New York, N.Y.; three sisters, Annette Taylor and Vernette Lynch of Detroit and Velma Fluker of Marietta, Ga. and a host of relatives and friends.
